Protective Wrap Machine

Feb 2024 – Jun 2024 University of Southern Denmark

Project Overview

Designed and prototyped a compact, fully mechanical machine for producing kraft paper protective wrap—an eco-friendly alternative to plastic packaging. The machine processes 30 cm-wide kraft paper rolls, helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) streamline packaging while reducing environmental impact.

My Role

  • Led the mechanical design and development process

  • Focused on optimizing for simplicity, reliability, and sustainability

  • Worked hands-on from concept to functional prototype

Design Process

  • Heavy CAD modeling using Siemens NX to develop both custom and off-the-shelf component integration

Designed a fully mechanical kraft paper wrap machine to help small businesses reduce plastic packaging waste, combining sustainability with smart engineering.

Tools and Skills
